Search Engine Tip: Open Directory
Stumbled onto a useful tip I found posted elsewhere on the web:
"The Open Directory is the best kept secret in search engine marketing. It's a rival to Yahoo, compiled by volunteer editors from across the Web.
Getting listed here is just as important as at Yahoo, because the Open Directory "powers" results at popular search engines like AltaVista, AOL, Google, HotBot, Lycos, and Netscape."
The Directory is impressive and it’s almost worth your time just to peruse it for categories of businesses, business names and descriptions, and numbers of listings in each business category. A very interesting site.

Look for a new tip every Monday AM; it could be a quotable quote, a book recommendation, website URL, or just an interesting idea.
