Pricing on the Internet: Part Two

So how does a customer value product in the information age? Is the value about convenience of access or ease of use? Is it about the bundle of customer service attention that comes with the product? Or is the ‘best value’ simply and only a question of the lowest price?

Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and borders.com are all being challenged by a site called bestbookbuys.com. This site’s engine searches other sales sites to present the absolutely best price to the online book buyer. And we’re already seeing instances of companies actually giving product away in exchange for customer information.

Where will the online price wars end?

Look for a new tip every Monday AM; it could be a quotable quote, a book recommendation, website URL, or just an interesting idea.
